My poetics:
I think I have found my habitat in that highly fertile "no man's land" which is the area interposed, if one may say so, between the abstract and the figurative, a realm where I can create dwellings for the soul, "rediscover" places (or moments) where the real is now remote but not lost, where the true transforms and denies itself in ambiguous or ambivalent values.
They are hybrids entrusted by emotional frequencies to chromatisms of intense lyricism. They are the places of my secrets, of tears, of pleasure, of useless prayer, of dreams. I want my works to suggest the fluctuation between real and unreal, in a pulsating bipolarity, capable of generating doubt and suspension even in a rare harmony of opposites like the flow from a "where" to an "elsewhere".
To contain the bewilderment, I sometimes insert hard, linear, and geometric elements perhaps to reconnect with reality, certainly to anchor everything. In its best (and most ambitious) outcomes, the frequentation of such a dimension opens up to another sphere, located between the real and the imaginary, that of the fairy tale, a place where compositional elements change roles and values in an endless game, absolutely legitimate because in fairy tales anything can happen.
And this means that a black form can be darkness, rock, silence; a white gauze can be fluidity, light, melody; a blue rag can be cobalt or manganese but also sky, hope, and sea (in an endless tale).
